What do you need to know about SIL?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is help and/or supervision of daily tasks to help participants live as independently as possible, while building their skills. It is the paid personal supports by NDIA and is most commonly used in shared living arrangements.

SIL is one of many support options participants can receive. SIL is paid (NDIS funded) personal support. It includes things like someone to help with personal care tasks or cooking meals. SIL can help build these skills too, so you can be more independent. SIL is best suited for participants who have high support needs.

What do you need to know about SDA?

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a range of housing specifically designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high needs. SDA homes are purpose-built to provide beautiful full accessible living arrangements.

Participants who are assessed as needing SDA as part of their reasonable and necessary supports will receive NDIS funding to cover the costs of SDA.

Holistic Home Care partners with reputable SDA Providers to deliver beautifully designed, fully accessible homes and we provide the SIL 24/7 Supports, with a focus on continuity of care.

SDA is provided within 4 separate categories: Improved Liveability, Fully Accessible, High Physical Support, and Robust.
